Tuesday Night River Bends Ride

  • Parking Lot Behind Utica Fire Department (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Join CRAMBA on (most) Tuesdays throughout spring, summer, and fall for a group ride at Shelby Township’s River Bends Park!

We meet in the public parking lot behind the Fire Department in downtown Utica at 6:30pm, with the ride departing at 6:45pm, sharp (map).

The ride is dependent on weather and trail conditions and loosely organized; please don’t be offended if you show up on an iffy day and no one is there. Basically, if the trails are muddy, we don’t ride. But on nicer days we’ll often have 30+ folks joining us to have fun on bikes in the woods. (Ride updates are often posted on the CRAMBA Facebook Page or Clinton River Area Mountain Biking Facebook Group.)

Depending on attendance we may split into multiple groups, with the A group riding a bit faster and stopping a bit less than the B group. But don’t worry, no matter which group you’re with, no one gets left behind. (This is a fun ride, not a race.)

We head into the park via the paved path from Utica, starting at that end, and typically ride one full lap of the beginner and intermediate single track trails on the east side of the river, for a total of about 10 miles. Sometimes the A group will add on the more advanced Spring Hill and Robbins Ridge trails on the west side of the river, but this depends on how the group is feeling that night.

Class 1 Pedal Assist eBikes are welcome (no throttles), and helmets are required.

If you need toilets or water before the ride they can be found either at Pioneer Dog Park or in Utica City Hall.

See you there!

(And sometimes folks go for tacos at Mr. Miguel’s or burgers at Shamrock afterward.)
